Entergy employees — approximately 13,600 strong — approach their work each day with a clear objective, to continuously improve our business. It’s how we are building the premier utility. 1 7 Invest Productively We are investing for the benefit of our customers. We are building new, cleaner, more efficient generation to modernize our fleet. We are investing in transmission to connect generation assets; support economic development; and enhance system reliability, efficiency, and resiliency. Our distribution organization is focused on executing customer-centric priority investments to improve customer outcomes, with a goal to improve reliability and power quality. The emergence of new technologies and data analytics is bringing promising opportunities to develop new customer solutions. 2 7 Leverage Customer Insights We are building on our customer interactions to understand the outcomes they want from their power consumption. For example, we partnered with our customers to realize economic and environmental benefits of electrification of marine vessels. Converting marine vessels to electric power while at berth significantly reduces localized emissions and potentially lowers operating costs for vessel owners. 3 7 Include Everyone Our people and our culture are critical to our success. We have helped power the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, not only by keeping their power on and gas flowing, but also by placing them on the path to economic self-sufficiency. 5 7 Continue Environmental Leadership Entergy operates one of the cleanest large-scale generation fleets in the country. Since 2000, the utility has added more than 7,500 MW of clean, highly efficient combined-cycle gas turbine generation. These efforts will continue with investment in renewables and clean, efficient natural gas generation to replace older fossil-fueled resources. We are committed to reduce our CO 2 emission rate to 50 percent below 2000 levels by 2030. 6 7 Never Stop Improving We’re on a journey to continuously optimize our business. We are working smarter and more efficiently by improving processes and using advanced technologies such as automation to improve our business. These efforts will enable us to invest more for our customers, which will result in even higher levels of service and reliability without significantly affecting their bills.
